Is this really what 14 looks like?
Yellow nail polish, Twilight, violin, softball, Jessica, the Jacobs, Chandler, Reed,
books, books and more books, gold chained braces, Sweeney Todd, volley ball, swimming, Camp Winnamocka, the list goes on.

14 is much more beautiful and much more busy than when I was there, and Callie wears it wonderfully!

Happy Birthday, beautiful!

My very first post...

Here in Texas Friday night football is king. Why would I mention this in April you ask?

Spring Football has begun!!! Friday morning scrimmages with donuts, coffee and full bleachers. The dads at the rail, moms in the stands and the neighborhood driving 5mph to see who is playing at what position on their way to work and school. It is what we look forward to as soon as our kids leave the field that last game in November!!
Sadly for me he has decided not to play his senior year, opting to swim full time and concentrate on leading his swim team back to state. It was an agonizing decision for a seventeen year old to make, and we are very proud of his choice. He started swimming and playing football at the same time in the second grade, and has tried for 10 years to juggle them both. I will miss the bleachers the lights, and my spirit button, but I look forward to another successful year in the pool. Tripp's 400 free relay is currently 12th in state (Texas 4A)!!! Not too shabby! I wish him all the love, success, luck and happiness in the world, and can't wait to see where the next season takes him!
